.project. : .lateshift-at-seaside.

I started a summer project last night about the New Jersey Shore town of Seaside Heights. Basically, I want to do an interesting photo essay with some life to it. I want something totally New Jersey, because I've realized how unique this area is. Along comes the Shore, which is an amazing strip along Jersey's east side. S-L staffer and shore expert Andy Mills suggested a great idea to do a late night project about Seaside Heights, which is a tremendously seedy/popular spot.

I'm going to pull more all-nighters, get out shooting and have fun. I think I want to visually show what happens in this crazy spot from around midnight until morning. Last night (and this morning) I mostly walked around and got to know the area while talking to people for ideas. It was a blast, and I still haven't gotten to the carnival area...

Cool project idea Ben, the beach is where its at. This brings back memories growing up in a seaside community on the east coast. I'm digging that picture of the guy smoking the swisher and the sunrise shot. Out here we're lucky enough to see the sun set over the ocean, the opposite of the east coast. So are you going to try and show the

Ok dude, the 3rd, 4th, and 6th are keepers for sure. Good start man. Definitely look for situations and pictures that say something about the area. Really cool though man, these are a lot better than you made them sound on the phone.

good stuff like usual Fred. just be careful of all the sand because sand and rain destroyed my camera in Brasil. otherwise, keep up the good work.

yeah dude. looks good so far. i like the shot of the dude and the girl hugging, but try and shoot it a bit better and i am sure you won't have any problem. Like the beach shots and the smoker dude.
