Multimedia

I was following a local MMA fighter before a cage fight in town. I had hoped for an in-depth multimedia story involving training, pre-fight, and the fight. Like some stories in this business, things just fell apart. Problems with access, lighting, equiptment, deadline made for one of those depressing nights when the fight came. To add to all that, the guy won his fight in 23 seconds in a position where I couldn't really shoot anything. I thought all was lost, but my editor suggested I'd take a different road and focus more on the training and motives of this fighter instead of a narrative about one fight in general. Overall, I thought it turned out okay for how bad everything fell apart with the story. I was glad to salvage something. What's really important is that I'm doing more multimedia and getting more comfortable with the method. I'm going to have more of these slideshows...

Nice photos man, the audio helped pull it together for sure. It's too bad the fight didn't work out. Either way, it seems pretty complete to me. Good shit!
