Week 6

Soldier Killed in Iraq
This was a tough assignment. Basically, I had to take pictures of a fallen soldier's father and fiancee while a reporter interviewed them. We all felt it was too soon to set up portraits. It was tough because it is a sensitive and heartbreaking atmosphere, an extremely important story, but hard visually. I had some talking-head-interview pictures, but I was looking for more telling moments. It ran well as A1 with headline "He was proud to be a Marine." The family was pleased with the coverage. The funeral is sometime next week...

Volleyball. No lights allowed! Top one was match point of championship game.
