a night with the dems...

Last night was amazing. What a historic evening for the good ole' USA.

I covered the official watch party for the Democratic Party of Virginia. My assignment was to get photos of Mark Warner's victory speech for his new U.S. Senate position and overall coverage of the event. I had my two company nikons around each arms for the coverage. I also brought out my 5D and a snooted strobe to try to see things a little differently and look beyond the stuff on stage.

It was an intense night. My deadline was 9:45 and Warner didn't get on stage until 9:55, so I literally shot him on stage for two minutes and ducked to the side of the stage and transmitted as Warner and the crowd roared behind me. I made our absolute final against-the-wall-deadline...crunch time at it's finest.

Here's some of a night with the dems.
