long laps.

Mike Payne of King George County is energetically exercising, losing weight, getting sponsors and donating money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, all in honor of his brother who died of pancreatic cancer.

I dig the underwater shot, How'd you do it? Use a fish bowl? Anyways, wanted to say you've got a great body of work coming along man.

Thanks drew, much appreciated. I shot this using my paper's underwater housing kit, which is basically a ziplock bag type of thing. I didn't get in the water, but should have. I got soaking wet anyway laying on my stomach on the edge of the pool firing off frames as Mike swam laps. Next time, I'll bring a swimsuit and get in the water instead of being the soaking wet dirtbag in jeans and a polo laying on the side of the pool.

nice pics for sure...BUT...your toning looks like shit. overtoned. dude, the raw files looked baller. you should redo these. I don't know what it is, if it's the way you save them for web or what but it looked better printed in the paper and that is usually never the case. sorry to be hard but I think the three of us need to start ripping each other up because it will make us stronger. you dig? I love you sometimes. tully

Uh, ok Tully. The first picture looks crappy, if you want to come over to my place and tone a muddy, underexposed D2H image, be my guest. I don't really care about that picture enough to keep at it. The other two are not that unreasonable, even as I sit here looking at them with my newly calibrated monitor. I do add some additional contrast when I save for web, otherwise they look unsaturated, flat and terrible. As for what ran in the paper, the image looked awesome, our tech probably spent more time on it that I did, although the image looked more blue than in reality...

Alright. First off, it was a simple critique. Second off, you're a monster. Third, I'll be at your place Tuesday so maybe then...or maybe we should just hammer some beers with the Kruse and chill. Jerk.
