rains it pours

Yesterday, it rained and rained here in DFW, which leads to airport flight cancellations and flooding. I headed to points across the metro area looking for flooding, water rescues or anything that shows how this weather affects people.

In anticipation for more rain and possible flooding, Darrell Amlong pauses while cearing a path in front of his home near Ten Mile Creek on March 18, 2008. During the heavy rains of the day, the waters of the creek rose and threatened nearby homes. Amlong said his house has been flooded six times since he's lived in the area. "Usually I like the rain, it's nice to sleep to," he said. "But I get scared everytime it rains."
